Coming up: Yoga Retreat - 1 till 5 September 2025

Yoga in Nature

Combine yoga with nature in this amazing experience!

Tarcu Mountains, Romania

Are you up for going away for some days? Immerse yourself in the extraordinary nature of beautiful Romania. Deepen your yoga practice amidst splendid mountains, likeminded people and professional guidance. No matter if you’re an experienced yogi or just a beginner: this retreat will create unforgettable memories for you!

The YOGA IN NATURE yoga retreat is our new collaborative specifically designed together with our partner MOYO, and with local support of WeWilder in the Țarcu Mountains, an important rewilding site in Romania.

During this 5-day Nature Positive Yoga training, you will have the opportunity to deepen your yoga practice, or if you’re a beginner: even take your first steps on your yoga journey. In one of the wildest and most beautiful areas in Europe, we will work on the inspiring WeWilder campus to have you experience all aspects of Yoga in Nature.

Every morning we start with a yoga class at sunrise, where you start your day in the middle of nature waking up all around you. The yoga classes will be based on the vinyasa and hatha technique. Every day will be dedicated to a theme with parts of the body: such as your core, hips, shoulders, back, legs or a combination of these.

After a scrumptious breakfast, you will experience the Tarcu Mountains and the local area in different ways: through hiking, cycling, tracking wildlife or community activities.

In the afternoon you will delve deeper into yoga in a more workshop-like setting. With the chosen day theme, we will deep dive into certain asanas (yoga postures). And whether you are a beginner or more advanced, we offer you a safe environment with professional guidance to challenge yourself to gradually learn new postures such as inversions - think of a headstand and other super fun asanas. Together we will continue yoga and its versatility in a playful and relaxed way. In addition to asana yoga, we will also occasionally sprinkle in the splendid yoga philosophy and beautiful do's and don'ts as a guideline for your practice.

You will enjoy delicious healthy dinners and interesting discussions by the campfire in the evenings. Of course there is plenty of time to relax, meditate, write in your diary or just enjoy the fresh fruit from the trees in the beautiful surroundings.

This is not a standard yoga retreat, but a yoga adventure where aside from enjoying and deepening your yoga practice, you will also create a deeper connection with nature, yourself and your surroundings.

You will be hosted in an exceptional example of sustainable community development and introduced in the concepts of Nature Positive and Rewilding practices. Local guides will take you on breathtaking adventures in this wild corner of Romania, show you tracks and signs of bears, bison and wolves, and you will be able to connect with the local community, with yourself, and each other.

During this yoga training from 1 till 5 September, you will sleep in the tiny houses on the WeWilder campus, or in a nearby local Romanian guesthouse. All meals, drinks, accommodation, transfers, yoga and activities from Monday afternoon till Friday morning are included*. You only have to train or fly to the city of Timisoara, where we will pick you up (ask us for advice on transportation).
